Mothers: What would you feel and how badly would you feel it if your daughter didnt go to senior formal (prom)?

I wouldn't care because I didn't go. Prom is just a bunch of hype, it doesn't mean anything. People make it seem like it's a big deal, but it's really not. I had a few friends that went and were excited, then when I saw them the next day, they said it wasn't a big deal, just some dancing.
