What am I thinking of in boxing?

I remember hearing a story about how there was a match, where a boxer cheated and was wanting to hurt someone (I believe he wanted to hurt her but I might be wrong) and he had something in his glove so the punches would be more painful. Does anyone know what I'm thinking of?
