Would I have to get surgery for this?

When im on my period, I get Painful cramps in my legs. It makes me roll around on the coush and cry, The only way to get rid of it is if i take powerful pain pills. My mom is taking me to the doctor on Tuesday. She said i may have inhereited something called an 'Inverted Uterus'.. What is that? She said that she went through the samething I am going through. But anyway These are my questions: What is that, and would it require surgery to KILL the pain?
